I am excited to announce that Harristown State High School will implement a 1-to-1 Laptop Program, commencing with our Year 10 students in 2024. The program will be a part of the Student Resource Scheme and will be known as the Laptop Purchase Program (LPP). It will require all 2024 Year 10 students to purchase a school-provided laptop which will give them access to their own laptop for Year 10, 11 and 12 both at school and at home.
This program represents a major step towards providing our students with the digital technology skills that are essential to respond and adapt to a changing world.
The benefits of digital access are numerous. For one, it allows teachers to provide a more personalised and engaging learning experience. With a device in hand, students will have access to a wide range of educational resources, including interactive textbooks, multimedia materials, and online research tools. They will be able to collaborate with their peers and their teachers in real-time, share their work, and receive immediate feedback.
In addition, these devices will connect all students to accessing digital learning opportunities who may not have access to technology at home. With a school-issued device, all students will have access to the same technology, tools, software and resources.
For convenience and cost effectiveness the laptop the school is providing for purchase under the Laptop Purchase Program is the ASUS B1402CBA.

Full payment of $990.00 inc GST up front
| Annual payments of $330.00 inc GST for 3 years to be paid by the end of term one of each year.
Please note: Under this option all payments of $330.00 will be required to transfer ownership from the school to the student at completion of Year 12.
| Deposit of $100.00 upfront to acquire the laptop, then fortnightly payments as agreed with the Business Manager.

At the end of Year 12 and provided that the total of $990.00 has been made, the laptop will be restored to factory settings and ownership will transfer to the student.
