My role is to work with the Aboriginal and Islander students in relation to counselling, academic support, school attendance, health and cultural awareness. I am also involved in Indigenous programs for our Year 8’s which is Pack Your Dilly Bag, Year 9 Biggis Mob and Year 10 Dare Mentoring Program. These programs are to benefit our Aboriginal and Islander students through transition, cultural awareness and engagement to inspire them to achieve a completed year 12 Certificate. These programs are culturally appropriate and are run by Indigenous staff with Indigenous support.
