Maps and transport

What buses service the school?

Harristown State High is well serviced by school and local buses. Most buses set down and collect from the Bus Interchange in Hennessy Street. To find out the bus schedules please contact. Bus information is available from Queensland Transport in Phillip Street on 07 4639 0810.

Where can we collect our children?

There are several areas available in either South Street, Stephen Street below the school oval or outside the pool in Hennessy Street, which allow for safe drop off. Additionally there are a number of angle car parks in Burton and Stephen Streets. A dedicated taxi drop off point is off the South Street entrance near U Block. Please always drive with caution and obey the speed limits around the school.

Where can my child store a bike?

There is a secure bike cage on the grounds, available for Harristown State High students while at school. Students are encouraged to bring a bike chain to secure their bike during the day.

How are school crossings used?

Our students are encouraged to use crossings safely; to cross once only and to cross sensibly. If on a bike, students should walk beside their bike when using a school crossing.
