Guidance Officers are specialist teachers who work directly with students to improve their wellbeing as well as with teachers, school support personnel, family, other specialists or external support providers.

The 3 main areas of support our Guidance Officers can assist with are:  personal social/emotional concerns; school/educational difficulties; and tertiary/career information. They are available to talk with students, parents and carers on any matters concerning the welfare and wellbeing of students. Support for AARA and QTAC applications is also available for senior students.

Students can self-refer or may be referred by parents, carers, teachers or members of administration. Our Guidance Officers support house groups and are located in the main administration block. Appointments can be made through the front office.

For Bonda and Barang house students, email Jo Jaenke jgill307@eq.edu.au and for Balkuin and Dherwain house students, email Robert Thompson rthom585@eq.edu.au.
