Hawks stymie bullying

13/02/2014
Bullying. Stymie that. Emilie Tan with our Gold Leaders.

Stymie was launched at Harristown State High School yesterday. All students participated in Year Level assemblies and were addressed by Emilie Tan about Stymie: a notification system to empower students with the confidence to stand up for each other without fear and support their peers in cases of overt and covert bullying.

The word stymie means to stop or thwart. Stymie and Harristown State High School want bullying to stop. Stymie is independent and confidential. They exist for students to send anonymous email notifications about students who are being bullied.  Notifications are encrypted and not stored but the messages are passed on to the school so that  students who are being bullied can be supported.

Students can find the Stymie page via our webpage or by visiting http://stymie.com.au
