Dear Parents / Carers,
This year, for the first time, Harristown will be conducting a practice QCS test for eligible Year 11 students.  The practice tests form an important part of students’ preparation for the QCS test which will be held in August 2017.  Students will sit for two papers and receive detailed feedback to assist with their preparation throughout Year 12.
Below are the details for those required to attend:
  1. All OP-eligible students
  2. Non-OP students wanting to sit for a Selection Ranking (a non-OP University entrance rank)
What QCS papers will be completed
  1. Writing Task (2 hours)
  2. Short Response (2 hours)
8:40am Tuesday 22nd November
What to bring
See equipment list under Related Links
Additionally, during exam block there will be a 2 hour preparation workshop (Wednesday 16th November).  Attendance at both of these activities is compulsory for all OP-eligible students and any students wishing to sit the QCS test.
The school office must be contacted in the event that a student is too ill to sit for the QCS Practice Test.
Any queries concerning the test should be directed to Mr Craig Forknall, Deputy Principal or Liam Holcombe – HOD Academic Academy.
Yours sincerely
