Vaccination clinics coming soon

5/02/2013

As part of Queensland Health’s FREE School Based vaccination Program every year 8 student in Queensland is being offered hepatitis B vaccination, varicella (chicken pox) vaccination and human papillomavirus (HPV). Every year 10 student will be offered diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (whooping cough).

Year 10 male students in 2013 -2014 are being offered HPV vaccination as part of a catch up program.

Vaccination clinics for year 8 and 10 students will be held on Tuesday 5th March,  Tuesday 21st May and Friday 11th October 2013 as part of Queensland Health’s annual School Based Vaccination Program. Consent forms are due to be returned to school by Tuesday 12th February.

Please note that all consent forms should be returned, indicating whether or not you wish your child to be vaccinated at school. If you have not signed and returned your child’s consent form, please do so immediately.

You are strongly advised to take this opportunity to have your child vaccinated against serious vaccine-preventable diseases for free.

If you have misplaced your child’s consent forms, extra copies can be collected from the school office or downloaded from Queensland Health’s website at www.health.qld.gov.au/immunisation.
