The Senior Induction Ceremony recognised all of the students who are our Year 12 Seniors in 2014.  During the ceremony, the Principal, Mr Green, and Year 12 Coordinator, Ms McAleer, encouraged students to consider their goals for this last year of high school, in preparation for leaving school at the end of the year.

Lachlan Porter said, "For many of us, Year 12 has been an achievement that has seemed so far into the future that we felt like we would never actually experience it. But now that we are here, it is difficult to remember where all that time has gone."

Emity Bayntun added, "As we launch ourselves into our final year at Harristown High, it is amazing to see just how far we have all come since the first day we stepped through the front gates. Harristown High has seen our transformation from the nervous Year 8s we were, into the confident young adults we are today. As Hawks, over the last few years, we have learnt to soar, and at the end of this year, we will be ready to leave the nest. But before that day comes, we have one final year to treasure every moment spent with friends, endure the final slog of assessment and to appreciate and cherish our parent’s support, encouragement and love."

The students were presented with their Senior badges and took a Senior Pledge. Lachlan reminded students, "We have built relationships with others that will last a lifetime. We have demonstrated integrity and diligence.  We have shown enthusiasm.   As Harristown Hawks, it is PRIDE that sets us apart and it is this PRIDE that will be on display whenever we wear our Senior Badges."
