School Based Vaccination Program

As part of Queensland Health’s FREE School Based Vaccination Program every year 8 student in Queensland is being offered diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) vaccination (dTpa), chicken pox (varicella) and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination.

Year 10 male students will be offered diphtheria- tetanus-pertussis (whooping cough)  vaccination (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV) and Year 10 female students diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) vaccination.

Vaccination clinics for year 8 and 10 students will be held on Thursday 27th February, Monday 12th May and Monday 13th October 2014.  A completed consent form must be returned to school even if you have not consented to the vaccination. This ensures that a parent/legal guardian has received the consent form.

You are strongly advised to take this opportunity to have your child vaccinated against serious vaccine-preventable diseases for free
