Life of an International Student at HSHS #1

24/02/2014

Hello, my name is Ayano!  I'm from Japan and in Year 11. I came to Toowoomba about a month ago.  I'm now staying with my host family so I miss my family in Japan a little bit.  I really love snowboarding, sleeping, reading books, eating, playing badminton and playing some instruments.  I will be here till end of Year 11.  I'm not good at speaking English, but I'd like to introduce many things related to Japan for you all.

This time I'm going to talk about the differences I have found so far between Australia and Japan.
As for school, we don't have to move so much during classes in Japan.  Since Japan doesn't have as much space as Australia, we have to make buildings higher.  Usually each school has about 5 floors and it's all inside except for P.E.   So I never get lost in my Japanese school but I do a lot here!
As for food, it depends on each family, but usually Japanese people eat more vegetables, cooked meals and rice.  It's really different so what I miss the most is the food cooked by my mum.

These are two things that I have found different so far. When I find more, I’ll tell you all.  And if you are interested in Japan, feel free to ask me!  See you soon.

Ayano.
