Mr Sellars hosted Assembly this week in the blue gym while Mr Forknall and the Year 12 students were busy with the QCS test.

Leaders: Madison Franke and Mitch Schoemaker

Acknowledgement of Country: Matt Robinson

Principal's Address: Mr Green

Mr Green began for thanking students for their feedback on the trial.

He engaged the audience in the story of Leslie Lemke, born in 1952 with complications that required his eyes to be surgically removed when only a few months old.  Adopted by nurse, May Lemke, Leslie grew to overcome the physical and mental challenges. As part of his learning, he did music therapy and surprised his adoptive mother by being able to play Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 after hearing it only once.

Just as Leslie had support and help to overcome challenges, our school values encourages us to value relationships and look out for others.  It wasn't just up to Leslie and only when we work in teams do we show our potential and overcome our difficulties.

Operation Christmas Child: Peter MURPHY

Chappy Pete shared with Assembly the Operation Christmas Child Project and how students can get on board by filling shoeboxes sith gifts for those less fortunate. He encouraged Form Classes to get involved.  More information will be in Form Rolls and students can look online:
