  • Attendance: Term 2 placings were announced with, in 4th place, Dherwain, 3rd place, Barang, 2nd place, Bonda and in 1st place, the recipient of the Term 2 Interhouse Attendance Trophy, Balkuin. This term so far the progress points show the same placing. The message to students from Dherwain, Barang and Bonda: Step up – every day, every person makes a difference to attendance.
  • Special Guest, Harry joined Ms Monagle on stage to review key messages
    • Be at every lesson on time and prepared. Harry’s tip: “We are in the best possible position to play our best game if we are on time and prepared.”
    • Be where you should be at all times. Harry’s tip: “Be there, in the classroom or be somewhere that you have teacher permission to be in – there are no other acceptable options.”
    • Show respect. Harry’s tip: “I respect you by making sure nothing I do interferes with something that you are doing and you do the same for me. We get along, we are polite to each other.”

The game of school is on. We are moving into assessment periods. Please play the best game you can.

Trivia Night

The prefects promoted Trivia Night with a trivia style Q&A:

Q: What event is coming up on the 14th of September?

A: The Harristown Trivia Night! Doors open at 6pm with a 7pm start. We should be finished around 10 o’clock

Q: Correct! Where is it being held?

A: Right here in the Auditorium

Q: Correct! Who can come and how much will it cost?

A: It’s communal so anyone can come. Bring family and friends!

Q: Right! And how much will it cost?

A: Its $15 per person however only for a limited time you can book a table of 8 for $80! You can save a total of $40

Q: Correct! Will there be prizes?

A: Many! There will be many food vouchers such as Baskin Robins, gym memberships, movie vouchers, fruit trays and even an Apple TV, but that is not all! Make sure to bring lots of spare change, as there will be food available to purchase (plus free nibbles) and a cent sale where you can get raffles for the prizes.

Q: Well done! Anything else we need to know?

A: Just remember to find seven friends and book tickets early to avoid missing out
