Principal's Address

Mr Green discussed the key points in our life when we need a change. He explained that the best way for students to prepare for change is by giving your best today. He encouraged students to do their best while at school and surrounded by friends and adults to assist. Value:

  • your education
  • your ability to read and work with numbers
  • your ability to solve problems
  • your ability to ask for help and seek advice.

ACOSTA Study Tour

Cultural Captain Magdalena Mauwa welcomed our visitors, students from the Acosta Study Tour group. The students come from many different schools in Japan. During their visit they have been participating in English Language lessons, classes with Harristown students and spending time getting to know some of our students.

They were privileged to have Daniel Blades and Wayne Weribone talk to them about Aboriginal Art and music. Daniel shared some drawing techniques and also did a painting for the students which has their handprints on it. We hope that the students have enjoyed being honorary Hawks during their visit.

Kako, one or our international students, translated the welcome for students. Well done.

Jeans for Genes Day

Lachlan spoke about the fundraiser for Friday 4th August wear students are permitted to wear jeans with their school shirts and appropriate shoes to raise money for this worthy cause.
