Harmony Week

This week, Monday 23rd to Friday 27th March, is Harmony Week at Harristown State High School.

Harmony Day is celebrated throughout Australia on March 21st.  It has become a significant day of the year when Australians are encouraged to celebrate the cultural diversity of our country.  From the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world, the central message for Harmony Day is that “everyone belongs”, reinforcing the importance of inclusiveness to all Australians.  Everyone, irrespective of skin colour, cuisine, culture, music, language and traditional beliefs, should feel as though they belong in this magnificent country we have all built.

Each day this week there will be different activities on offer and all staff and students are welcome to be involved.
