Cross Country

This year’s Interhouse Cross Country will be conducted at the Kearneys Spring Sports Complex on Tuesday the 26th of March, 2013 from 1pm until 3pm.​

All students wishing to compete in the Cross Country must have completed and returned a Medical and Permission form by Wednesday 21st March. If you have not handed in your completed form please do so ASAP. Any queries can be directed to Ms Joss in Q33.

Students who have returned their Medical and Permission form will be given a wrist band in form class on Tuesday 26th March. NO students will be permitted on the bus to Kearneys Spring without their wrist band. All competitors must wear their wristbands during their race.

Students will work periods 1 to 6 only.  At 12.55pm students can purchase lunch requirements then make their way to the bus interchange.  Buses will depart at 1.10pm.

The races will be in the following order:

Buses will return to school, leaving Kearney Springs as close to 2.40 pm as practical.

The course has a 1 km lap and a 2km lap. Runners in all races except the 13Yrs age group, MUST COLLECT A PADDLE POP STICK on the completion of each lap and present it/them at the recorders desk upon completion of the race.  (If a student fails to present the stick/s, points will not be awarded. The paddle pop stick will indicate you have complete two laps of the course).

Students are to participate in their house colours where possible.

Fun Run

For those students that do not participate in the Interhouse Cross Country, they will stay here at school and participate in the Fun Run. Each student will walk laps of the school oval (400m track) and total laps will be recorded. Certificates will be awarded for the following results: Student Male and Female with the most laps per house, Form class with the most laps per house, Overall House with the most laps.

Points for students participating in the Fun Run count towards the Overall Participation Award.
