Assembly Notes

During this week's leaders address, Mr Green urged students to be careful in pedestrian and vehicle shared zones around our school, in particular the driveways.

He asked students to use common sense and drivers to slow down if they use driveways. Students should stop at the kerb edge and give way to vehicles and listen carefully in these zones. He said, "Take care and look after yourself." He thanked students for their respect and courtesy to Mr Duffie on the Assembly last week.

Teresa Barnes asked Mr Green to assist in presenting participation certificates for the Queensland Cancer Council Relay for Life.  Participation Certificates were presented to 89 students and a band of dedicated teachers. The teams including Heroes, World Challenge, Twinkle Toes, Democratic Republic of Cameron, Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels, Fluros, Odd Future Wolfgang, Sleeping Beauties and Where's Wallies and their efforts to raise $2847 were acknowledged.
