Assembly Notes

31/07/2013

Today's assembly opened with Mr Green's weekly address. The focus was on revisiting the rule for use of mobile phones at school: turned off and on your person between 8.45 am and 3 pm. He spoke about our culture of reasonableness: that  exceptions via teacher direction or those approved by the office can be sought. He reminded students that the expectation is clear regarding mobile phones and needs to be followed by all students.

We recognised the achievements of the Harristown teams who entered the Scots PGC Invitational Touch Football Carnival, held in Warwick recently. The Open Mixed team, entered into the Open Boys division, finished 4th in their competition. The 15 Boys team won the final against Downlands and the team presented Mr Green with the winning cup.

Arts Prefects, Katelyn and Taylee, spoke about the upcoming Rock Eisteddfod Retrospective which celebrates the 13 Harristown productions of Rock Eisteddfod since 1991. The performances are on August 16 and 17 and tickets can be purchased from the P&C shop.
